Default Out with another Dana 35

And in with this:

29-spline 8.25 w/new bearings, disc brakes & Aussie Locker. And since the D35 has TWO bent axles, a leaky pinion seal & drum brakes, this should be an improvement.

raise the shock mounts will improve it even more , oh yeah and shave it , make you go faster , less wind resistance.

Well, the 4 wheel disc brakes with ceramic pads really do the job. Much better stoppage than with the drums.

However, that Aussie Locker is loud as F***. And I used the expensive oil that is known to keep things quiet. I don't like it. I might just put the spider gears back in...

One thing I did this time around was to make use of that stupid bike lift I've had hanging around for years. Made a perfect differential lift.


And here is my answer to the brake line question:

You will be a much happier human being if you ditched that rear sway bar.
Axle looks good btw
Look into Detroit lockers. the Detroit in my 8.8 is whisper quiet. Very strong fullcase locker, love mine.
