Soooo I changed my oil like 2 weeks ago with thay new nexgen recycled oil! But today I pulled my dipstick out and right on the tip was a discoloration that was bronze and white.. It seemed thivk but felt the same as oil... It was only right on the tip till about an eighth inch up.. idk what it is! Its like white and bronze tie die ... Then the rest of the oil on dipstick is fine colored... Anybody have any ideas?! It drives fine and 75 no overheating ect... Ahh!

I have no experince with the recycled oil, but have you checked under the oil cap on the valve cover to see what it looks like? It could just be some of the additives they add to the oil to make it more "green" friendly.

Keep an eye on your coolant level.

not to be a d**k but you shouldn't have put the NextGen oil in it in the first place, only certain things are meant to be recycled and reused and OIL is not one of them! that is just my perspective... but the discoloration not to sure on that one.

It looks like water/moisture is in the oil. could be from the oil, could be coolant from a blown head gasket, could be from not getting the vehicle to proper operating temps long enough to let the water/moisture evaperate.

Gorillaxj hit this on the head. I always see this post when it starts to get colder outside, and have it happen on my rig as well. It's most likely just condensation that hasn't evaporated due to the cooler temperatures and longer warm-up time. Keep an eye on it anyways though just to be sure.

I had my oil pan off last week and noticed the end of the dipstick sits right on the oil pump pickup tube,so on the pickup tube itself there was a small area of discoloration. Could this be what you are seeing?

Yep, and I bet it's been pretty chilly in Aurora, Colorado lately.

Just keep an eye on the coolant level for a while and take a gander under the oil filler cap once in a while. If there was coolant in the oil, you could probably get a whiff of that sweet smell on the bottom of the filler cap, too.
