Default Oil Cooler - Where to mount?

While my XJ currently doesn't have any overheating issues, a) it never hurts to have extra cooling and b) next year I plan to swap the 4.0 for an LS1. So with this all in mind, I want to install an air-to-fluid oil cooler somewhere on my '01 XJ. The area behind the grill is pretty crowded and I have full interior so it can't go inside. The thought passed through my mind of doing a "hood mount" cooler (cut a vent and mount the cooler to the underside of the hood), but that's not my "ideal" solution.

Has anyone on here installed an oil cooler on their XJ and if so, how/where did you install it?

Did you actually mount this on your XJ? (In my opinion) 6AN lines are WAY too small for an engine oil cooler.

I've used these as remote trans coolers on hot rods when the owner doesn't want it visible, I used this as more of a generic example, they are made in different sizes or you can make your own by mounting a fan on a cooler.

At one point I toyed with the idea of taking the front bumper to a machine shop to have 3 proportionally-correct slots cut out on both sides of the license plate to mimic the grill theme and mounting a cooler behind the bumper on the cross-member. I haven't ruled it out, just not a high priority.
