So I wired up my offroad lights exactly how the instructions told me to. As soon As I hook up the switch to a ground it pops the fuse...
if I run a hot wire to the lights wire they work... I don't understand. any help would be appreciated. Also have it hooked up at a relay

Now a pic of the Jeep. Did you wire to many lights to one fuse? What size fuse? Are your grounds actually, well, grounded? I have wired lots of lights, never had a problem. Did your relays that came with it get connected correctly? Are they the proper relays, if you had to buy them? What brand lights? What Wattage lights?
And did you properly connect the wires the is yellow in the image to a 12 volt fused ignition power?
Does That say HID on the bottom?

just for the hell of it, make sure you have it in a big enough fuse... try to connect it to the fuse for the radio and if not tht, the one for the power accesory; its worth a try... also make sure u have a ffirm ground, not just aself tapper into the body. i use some of the tabs that hold the dash bezel on, their beefy and are bare metal

They are HID lights. I have two sets of 2 on my roof rack. Wired both of them exactly the same. Relays, wires, and switches came with the lights. When I run a positive wire from battery to lights they work. When I hook them up to the switch as shown in the picture and ground it, it pops the fuse. The switch is grounded on a dash screw by the hood release.
I have 2 lights per relay and switch.

Yeah its weird. I'm no electrician but it really has to have something to do with that switch or how its grounded. because my other switch I used works perfectly fine but I also didn't install it so idk

If you are blowing a fuse when you ground it, is there a chance that your body is possibly positively charged? ie like your battery is making the body hot? I am just curious because normally that set-up is fine, and grounding should never blow a fuse, but I cant really help any further with HIDs, but Good Luck.

Before you run out for a new switch, look at this picture.. then i'd get a 9v battery and hook up the switch to it to see which terminal is for the light. I think you've just maybe have the switch connected wrong. Hope this helps
