Yeah, but it's not much stronger than the D30 stock for stock aside from the ring & pinion.

I would assume the waggy D44 is better, no?

So what gears are in my front d30? Stock. I have an 8.25 rear. Also if I wanted to run 31's and 4.10's do. I put 4.10's in the front too? In other words does front and rear have matched gearing. I'm an auto aw4.

No. It's a low pinion axle that will require a lot modifications to install under a Cherokee. Not worth the time and money.

The Rubi d44 is a direct swap with no mods needed. not my favorite either...but you asked about an easy swap, and you can't any easier than this one.

Now if you want to install a beefier axle, the Ford HP (D44) with welded on wedges is the one you want. Narrowed down to GW width it's a great upgrade for strength and clearance. Not cheap, but it's the best D44 upgrade going.

Yes the front and rear gears must match. You can run a 4.10 in one axle and 4.11 in the other, they're the same thing really.

What he said in these 2 posts is in regards to your questions.

The 4.10s will be awesome with that tranny.
