Is this amount of play normal? I don't think so.. See video below.

I just installed a SYE and I have no play on front. I hope this helps.

Yeah, I am pretty sure there should not be any play. From what I have read, it could be due to a worn out 'pocket bearing' as they call it here (item 15). Not sure if the bearing for the front output shaft is toast too (item 13). I am also having some noise in medium to low speed (up to ~20 mph) mostly heard in 2WD. Sounds like a loose bearing or something too (or chain rubbing??). I should post a video of that and also check the chain. I have read I could drain the TC and peek through the drain hole for a quick check..
