Default NP207 front driveline ??

Ok guys, have a doozy for ya.
I have an 84 Waggy (XJ)
2.5L
NP207 d30/d35
My front output on the 207 blew up,
Need to replace it. Got a front Double cardan ( I think ...) driveshaft that a
SHOULD be the right length...
part number 53005541, which a few later catalogs say fit a 4cyl 5speed.

But I have no idea what kind of TC output yoke to get to match.
I know it needs to be 26 spline that much is sure,
But I am unsure as to whether or not I need a flanged yoke or whatever.
So I need to get this

To fit to this..... Somehow...

I had this problem. My solution ended up being me replacing the np207 with a np231. Best decision ever !

I'm pretty sure you'll need a 21 spline transfer case. I just found one by chance while scrolling through CL. Maybe he can ship it to you. Link below:

Heard that front yoke off 231 or 242 not sure which one swaps right in place of flange yoke on there now...

I used the front yoke from a 231 on my 207. Same dimensions. Worked fine.

As was mentioned, you need the front cv yoke off of a 231. I ran the front 231 cv yoke with u-bolt style straps and a single cardan ds. I just swapped in a 231 and use a YJ non-cv yoke with my single cardan ds now. The 207 is a decent case, but I outgrew it.

I believe the 242 output shaft is a larger, so the yoke won't work on a 231/207 output.

Edit: OP, this pic is from my build thread. This is the 231 cv yoke on a 207.

Awesome. I just ordered a cv yoke for a 87-95 wrangler, hoping they're the same, and the nut as well.
It looks like you didnt have to bolt that flange to the transfercase, and the output splines were already threaded to accept the nut. That picture is worth a million words I've been looking for that for days, thank you

Update. Got the new yoke, it doesn't match up with the hole on the shaft, far too wide.
The holes on the driveshaft measure 1.5" x ~2 3/8" center to center, the yoke measures 1 5/8"x 2 7/8" center to center. Grrrrrr it's sooooo freaking bad not having a goddam pick and pull around here. Guess I gotta return the yoke now.

Thanks for the pic, and yes, I know it's the wrong yoke, gracias.
Does anyone have the correct part number for a 231 CV yoke for XJs?
