Non experiance jeeper question
I have a 95 cherokee with a 3 I ch lift with 235/75/15's. I got a 33 from my uncle and I put it on my jeep. My question is if I'm just driving it on the road trim where they rub the flares and bump stop the steering will 33's work I don't wheel much and when I do it's flat muddy trails. Or will they rub in other spots. I couldn't drive it because it was only one tire. I'm planing on selling my quad to buy tires and want to get the most for my money. Thanks for ur time. Btw I'm 17 so I don't have vehicle experiance.

The most I'd go on stock rims are 31's. I think you'll be much happier with 31's on that lift.
You can make the 33's fit but you'll most likely need to do mild trimming, bumpstops and steering stops.
At ride height the only thing that will probably run will be the tires on the lower control arms.
For reference:
This is one of my Jeeps on a 3" lift and 31" tires.

On stock wheels you will have rubbing on the LCAs. A set of stock 99-04 Grand Cherokee (WJ) control arms would help alleviate this because they have a bend in them.
fold the pinch seam in the inner fenders over and then bumpstop as needed and you should be fine, probably have to do some mild fender trimming, but the flares will be able to stay

To me 3" and 31's with stock flares, doesn't even look lifted.
...just sayin.
Respect ur pops. Get urself a job and buy ur own rig. ur dad obviously still wants to keep the xj and in his mindset, he's just letting you USE it...
Which is cool. But tell him you want ur own and he can keep his. Who knows, he might just say do what u want to it...lol

Well bud, looks like you're stuck then for awhile. Stick with the 31's until you can get a good job and pay for your own toys, then Pops can't tell you what to do with it!
