Default newbie question....

Hey this is my first jeep. Its a 97 zj Tsi with a bad bearing in Transfer case . Im pickin up a late model 242 Tcase this morning from a guy on Craigslist. He tells me hes keepin the linkage, is this a problem? can i use the 249 stuff? Or am i spending the weekend at the JY lol? Any hints or tips on this swap would be greatly appreciated.

Did the same thing on my old 93. Linkage works fine but you'll need to adjust it a little. If you can find a bezel with the shift points listed it'd be nice but not a big deal.
