Hey guys I'm new to all this, and I need help with my project.
It's a 1986 jeep cherokee 4x4
I bought it off a co worker for dirt cheap.
Body is 7 out of 10
Engine runs but needs little work
I want to lift it about 3 or 4 inches but I don't know what to do.
I NEED A REALLY CHEAP WAY TO LIFT IT SINCE ITS GONNA BE A BUCKET OFF ROADER NOT A SHOW JEEP!

Ahhh, I went down this route with my first Cherokee being an '86. IMO, it was a huge pain in the *** with little reward. So if I were you, I'd sell it to someone who doesn't plan on building it up. Take that money and buy yourself a '91 - '95, even with high miles the renix straight 6 is a great motor. Like I said, I've been down this road and would suggest that you DO NOt dump any cash in it at all.

I paid $300 for it and yes it leaks and is a 2.8 but I don't plan on fixing this one up passed a cheap lift.
I would build one newer and in much better shape. This one is just gonna be a beater that I can take out to my spot where I go shooting.

That's too much already!!! It's not worth the time, just sell it and wait for a good deal on a straight 6. A good deal means you should be able to sell it for more, so sell it before you trash it or it quits and leaves you stranded and are left with nothing.

^ thanks for the advice guys. Any more suggestions? Do you think it's a good deal? I only want to lift it with the cheapest way possible even junk yard parts.

Front I think f150 springs are about 3 inches and rear use the main leaf from 2 jy xjs and that's about 3, drop your break lines in the front and run with it.
