Default new gears center pin wont slide out

just put 488 gears in my 8.25 and the center pin that keeps the axles apart hits the ring gear so the axles wont go in because the c-clips dont go in cuz the the pin wont slide out. any ideas?

You can grind the ring gear teeth to fit the pin in. Doesn't take much.

Most grind the gears, but which ever removes less material and lets you get the pin out.
My gears came with instructions to grind two ring gear teeth.

Never heard of having to grind on the gears. IS this just for 4.88s? Or just because of using an open carrier?

very common.

Use a Dremel with a 60 grit sanding drum. 5 minutes and your done.
