finally got around to installing... let me know what you think!
haven't tried driving yet, so no idea if they impact coolant temp.

I'm not a fan they are too rounded for the XJ body IMO they don't flow well by flow I mean with the body lines

They also won't change your coolant temp.

thx :-)

I'm dealing with an airflow issue, giving anything a try rather than remove the winch.
definitely a noticeable difference in coolant temps at slow speeds, not so much at highway temps. But they look cool, so, no harm :-)

I think square, or the trapezoidal ones would look better. You could keep the same holes, but have improved appearance.

Those look like they belong on a sports car with curvy body lines.

Check out something like this:

nice, but that looks a little too common for me. Everyone and their brother has a set of squared-off louvers. I kinda like the curve on mine better .. reminds me of my '14 SRT louvers :-).. and they're different than all the other square, straight louvers out there.

also really like the fact that the ones I installed have angeled outlets.

Thank you for your candor... I think the lip around them is too tall. That being said, they still look better than nothing and while you might not see a difference in temperature on the gauge, just touch them vs. the hood and you can feel heat flows out of them. Might increase the longevity of everything else in the engine bay- heat is not very good for anything.

To be honest they don't look bad. To me IMHO I just the location of them. Other than that, isn't to bad a design

Well, I was gonna say somewhat the same thing, the design of them isn't bad, not my cup of tea, but the placement looks like they were clocked at an angle that isn't jiving with the body lines. Bottom line here, though, is the guy is happy with it, so more power to him.
