Ok guys I need some help I just picked up my first xj and I am super excited but hear is my problum idk what to do with it its going to be my dd so what would u do ??thing of going 4.5 with 33 will that be streetable ?? And was going to buy a rough country kit what would u guys recommend hope for.some help thanks every one

if its your DD will it see offroad? if not why lift and put big tires on?

First i would recommend a better quality kit like Rubicon Express, but if money is tight, check out Iron Rock Offroad for a budget kit. Be honest with yourself, and what do you really want out of this jeep. Are youa DD and weekend wheeler, or are you a once a every other month or something like that. REMEMBER WHEN YOU LIFT A VEHICLE MILEAGE SUFFERS AND THIS IS A DD.

DD+Weekend wheeler=4.5 lift 33s
DD+low wheeling=3" or 3.5" with 31s

I do plan on going off.road as much as possible but not to positive how much seeing there ar not may places too close go out buy me so when I do it will be put on a trailer and pulled to the trails

I have a second vehicle to drive if needed I'm not worried about gas prices just about looking good and having fun

Wheel it in stock form first before spending any money on a lift. It's good to get a feel for the rig before upgrading.

Ppl I need as much guidance as possible saying this is my very first off road build so all the little detailthat any one can give me would be grate I wanna.do it right the first time reamber this xj will go off roading but for the most part will be a dd

Google is your friend...and read lots of different build threads. That'll get the ball rolling for you. You need to see different rigs with different set ups. Then you will start to get a feel for what you like and don't like. And for God's sake, use punctuation man, are you drunk?

lots of people start out with a budget 3" lift on 31's and after that usually between 4.5-6.5" lift on 33's. I drive my xj everyday and also wheel alot so i went with a 5.5" long arm kit and i love it. there is usually no need for bigger tires than 33". i think those are the best for off roading. but i think probly the best upgrade in terms of off roading is a rear locker imo.

I have a '88 xj that's my dd and its stock right now, I wheel every once in a while, whenever I can find a good trail that I know my jeep can handle. I'm looking into the zone offroad or rustysoffroad 3" lift. Money is tight for me but it's big enough for beginners or some one who is using it as a dd and is worried about mpgs. Look into different lifts that you can afford, but also keep in mind you don't have to have the biggest jeep on the road. Start small, enjoy it, then upgrade down the road, just my opinion
