I have a 98 xj motor with exhaust manifold intake starter everything. I want to swap it into my 2000 xj chassis. Will the 98 motor fit without needing to change exhaust manifold and intake. I don’t want to if I don’t need to.

You will need to have that 00 intake since the power steering bracket is different, also the OO throttle body and all sensors changed over. You will need to plug that distributor hole too

You can leave the intake as the power steering changed the design in 96. The exhaust manifold will depend on which exhaust the '00 has. You'll need to change the 98's distributor for the 00's cam pickup sensor and then figure a way to mount the coilpack to the 98's head. Assuming you want to use the 00's wiring and aren't doing something custom.
