Hi guys well I recently totaled the Abominable and am in the process of replacing it with a blue 2001 with a bad engine. I have a low mileage 98 motor what exactly do I have to do other than replace the distributor with a 01 cam sensor. can I retain the 98 intake and exhaust manifold or will I need to swap these as well. in my research some say yes some say no. just looking for something a little more definitive. thanks in advance.

 

A guy on naxja makes adapter plates to use the 2000+ exhaust on the pre 2000 heads. Then you will need to fab up a way to hold the coil packs. The 98 exhaust manifold will not work. You should use the 2000 intake.
