Default Need advice on what lift to get.

I have a 97 Cherokee 4.0
I plan on getting a 3" lift with full leafs. I have some 31's BFG KM2'S on Cragar wheels i plan on putting on it. It will be my daily drive/weekend warrior. I will at most wheel it a couple times a month (not enough time to do more) I have narrowed it down to a few but if anyone has other advice i am all ears. I am wanting to stay around the $500 price range because i plan on just using this lift for a few years and will eventually go bigger (i hope).

Here are the ones i have narrowed it down too.

This one is my top choice as of now.

Personally forget the budget kits. Save a few more pennies and buy the parts. Id suggest OME leafs and probably Rusty's coils. Bilstein 5100 shocks. A double shear track bar. Longer sway bar end links. No lift shackle relocators and 1" lift shackles. This would get you a great foundation and an excellent ride you wont regret. JMO

There is always something more to do once you go down this modding road. Plan on 1200-2k to finally be complete.

The OME-XJ3 kits is excellent. Pop that into Google.

Out of those three, I would go with the zone. People really like them and you get decent quality for a good price.

All the money in the world? I would get something better. The OME kit supposedly rides the best.

Being as you want to go bigger down the road, I would recommend doing it cheap or just waiting and doing it correctly once... How big do you want to end up at?

With all the kits your paying for the leafs and coils being the highest cost items. The shocks are all cheaper ones in all the kits so basically buy the best package of coils/leafs for the money.

I found the Rustys Off Road kits use all American made springs and coils not the China junk in most of the others. I started with his 3" lift full leaf/coil package and ran it about a year with a good ride and zero sag. Then last year I did a lot of changes and increased the lift to 4 1/2" using the 3" leafs with 1 1/2" Boomerang shackles and new coils. Well pleased with this setup and the additional flex it gives over a regular 4 1/2" leaf setup.

Agree with the others, get good components and you'll be happy. I used OME coils and leaf spring packs, beefy shackles in back from Rock Road Outfitters. JKS disconnects and HD Adj Track bar, longer front brake lines. Ended up adding JKS adj coil over spacers (ACOS) Went with OME long shocks but may do Billstien 5100 later, did JKS adj LCAs... put 6mm wedge shims uder leafs for better pinion angle. bumpstops and all grade 8 hardware. Great on trails, hills, I beat it pretty good and still goes smooth on hiway doing 80... Dirk at DPG Off Road, Jason at Jeepin Outfitters and Frank at Serious Off Road were all good people to deal with too. I collected all my parts from them as I had the $$. Put on some 31s and good. Course now I want to drop LCA mounts and think about putting 35s on it, never ends.

Sorry man but you're going to get the same answers on here as you did on naxja. You're going to kick yourself in the *** if you cheap out. $500 is simply not enough. You will get nickeled and dimed to death in ways you cannot even think of. Save your money.

Did you end up buying anything else with your kit? Did you have to get new lower control arms or anything? I have really been considering that one but wasn't sure if I would have to end up spending more on that stuff.
