The vac line is to the left of the plug and slightly behind it if your looking at it from the front of the jeep

Ahh. Sorry. I was trying to track down vacuum leaks and such. The reason I asked is because im still trying to track down all these vacuum leaks and I saw that part with a vacuum line coming off of it and was curious what it was. Does that have anything to do with the transmission? Like shifting wise?

Nothing to do with the tranny or shifting.

Perhaps you could share with us the issue you are experiencing?

Well, intermittently the jeep will down shift like its supposed to, but when it comes time to upshift, its like it wont find 2nd, 3rd, or overdrive. It will find 1st if I slow down enough but after that it wont come out of first until I put it in neutral, shut it off, start it back up, and put it in drive again. Then it will drive just fine again.
