Hey Dukie,
I was just curious about the air filter box. How well does the top seal to the bottom part? I am assuming good enough because you have reported no water several times. I dont have a stock airbox at the moment so I dont know if there is like a rubber gasket or what. Thanks!

No, no rubber gasket. It seals plenty fine though. The filer element itself has a rubber gasket thing around the outside edge where the two halves meet.

 

I used the end of the JY intake tube that has the clamp to attach to the 3" ABS.
A 3 1/2" hole saw made for quick cutting into the air box and firewall. The ribbed section fit into the hole in the firewall well with one "rib" pushed through the hole.

Thanks SOOO MUCH for the posting of the idea!!! I've needed this for MANY years!!! I've installed a 2001 intake with the 2001 injectors (not knowing about the Neon ones) and have had "heat soak" for WAY too long!

Where are you guys picking up that black "Street" Style PVC From?

 

Home Depot... 3inch ABS 2 street elbows and a foot of 3inch straight pipe.
