Stay away from rough country. I sold my good xj for money in a tough situation and ended up with another grocery getter xj. Opted for a cheap rough country 4.5" add a leaf kit and its kinda crappy. I ended up with 5.5" lift front and about 4 with my sagging rear leafs. Not to mention their crap Brake line drops. Try unbending the front zig zag out of a rusty line. You'll end up replacing lines. And lower control arms that need to be paired with uppers. Front driveshaft sounds like its hitting the floor because the castor is terrible. Basically spend more money and buy a better kit. I tried to cheap out and hope I'd steer clear of the sagging and castor probs. didn't happen. Sorry. Rant over.

Zone and Rubicon Express are great brands at good prices.
Zone 4.5"
http://zoneoffroad.com/zone-offroad-...erokee/j23-j24
with complete leaf springs, swaybar discos and upgraded shocks its right around $870. You will still need to source an adj trac bar and a tc drop or sye.
Rubicon 4.5"
http://www.rubiconexpress.com/Lift-K...n=R%2fERE6130M
Cost more, avg $1300 but seems to have more reviews. Pretty complete kit for the most

Go ZONE if your wanting to stay under a 1000. I her their 3" lift and live it! I've heard nothing but good about both companies. ZONE is BDS's sister company to compete with RC.

Full size blazer bastard pack and Bronco front springs? Throw some ranchos on there and twiddle with the steering a bit and you should be right about where you want on height...
