Default My 98 XJ recently lifted.

I just finished a 3 inch lift and SYE and rear drive shaft. I noticed my drive shaft rubs on my parking brake. Any suggestions on how to fix it would be appreciated.

Reroute the parking brake cable. Rerouting the driveshaft is difficult. The parking brake cable is very simple. Moves forward and back an inch or so at very low speeds infrequently. Make some hook brackets that pull the cables away from the driveshaft. Your skills will dictate how fancy the brackets are. The simplest solution is to go to a junkyard and crawl under a mess of vehicles looking for suitable brackets. Common bracket on many vehicles. Find some about the length/size you want and bolt them to your jeep. Bolts through the floor pan with nuts on the other side and big flat washers will hold fine.

Make sure you have plenty of slack in the cables to allow the rear suspension to droop. Ideal to take the rear tires off and jack body up until rear suspension droops fully. Verify the parking brake cables do not get tight. Also a good time to make sure your brake hoses are long enough. Would be terrible to pop a brake hose while out wheeling.
