Default mud on my engine

Everytime i got mudding i come back with mud all over my engine! now i do have a few things that would probably cause this! i have no fan protector in the hood and also i have no fender liner in the front just because it was so old that it broke away. What ive heard is you can get a type of pad that stops mud from getting in from the bottom. idk exactly but i will be replacing the fender and fan cover soon. i just wanted to know if there was anything else i could do. Thanks guys.

Your going mudding and expect no mud on your engine ? Youll never ever stop mud from gettin on it, tires are gunna spin it up into it you could slow it down with a engine skid but thats about it

Sounds like you have a dirtbikers mentality, better start investing in some toothbrushes and a hose.

how do you figure? most of the mud in the engine comes from plowing into a mud hole and the fan spraying it everywhere. That functions just like the stock slash shield, but doesn't fall apart. That's as good of a solution as you're gonna be able to get bud

x2^^ he's not saying it's mud proof, just the closest you'll get to keeping mud out.. Mud seems to find its way everywhere easily..

Not saying it's a bad solution. It's a great idea. And I'm sure it does in fact keep a good amount of mud out of the engine bay, but not all of it.

Wrap the engine up with plastic wrap and when you're done you can unwrap it.

there's no way to keep all of it out...components need airflow to cool them, which also means muddy water flow if you're diving into puddles
