Default Mounting hardware for 99 Cherokee bumper

So, I've got a pretty basic custom bumper. Doesn't need frame stiffeners its light enough. My guy told me I need 5. 3 1/2" bolts and 4. 1 1/2".

What diameter do you guys suppose those need to be?

Only reason I'm asking is I know his phone is not working and I need some answers haha

If you have the bumper, measure the holes and get something that fits?

Do you have the oem bolts? Take them to the hardware store and use the thread gauge to figure it out.

I hear you on just matching the OEM bolts... I'm reusing the gearbox bolts and the rest were all 15mm metric... But that's where ACE "hardware" is screwing me, they don't have 15mm so its got me thinking well okay then that can't be what I need. Idk

If this bumper is mounted in the stock location, get matching nuts/bolts, washers etc. and bolt it on. Never head of 15mm bolts. heard of 14mm. And are you talking about hex head size or the actual bolt size? As the factory bumper mounting bolts are not that big.

Hex head size doesn't matter. Thread pitch and length is what you need.

Just a warning with out the tie in plates if you pull with that bumper or get pulled out by it the bumper will come right off the jeep.

Correct.... NEVER use that bumper or receiver for anything, mounting way to weak using stock locations only.

Grade 8 or Grade 10.9 metric (equiv. to Grade 8 but just a tad stronger) or Grade 12.9 metric (strongest of all of them)
