I'm looking to see if anyone has tips/info/pictures of mounting a larger tire in the stock location. I don't want to do a roof mount or hitch/bumper mount, I really want to keep it in the stock place if at all possible. New tires are BFG AT 245/75/16s on TJ Wrangler Rubicon Moab rims. Thanks in advance.

I don't have any pics but when I ran 33s and 35s I kept mine in the stock location. I modified the mount with some angle iron to raise it a little. It made it where the seat didn't completely go back, only latched on the passenger side but wasn't bad.

Here's a writeup from a gentleman that has done extensive modifications to his XJ.

I have a 31 inch (used) mounted on the stock location. All I did was buy a longer "hook". I can close the hatch no problem, but any bigger wouldn't fit unless the bench seat isn't latch properly. (like stated above)
