Default motors?

ok i have a 2000 xj sport. and it has the 4.0 but mine has a coil instead of a distributor. and im picking up a 95 4.0 with a distributor. i know that the crank sensor or somthing goes in there but would anything else matter? would i have to do anything extra? swap harness and comp? intake? injectors? i just want to be sure that this motor will fit before i go get it.
thanks

crank position sensor (CPS) goes in the tranny bellhsg. Are you just swithcing motors?...reusing the 2000 intake/TB and exhaust?

I'm in the process of doing the same thing. Picked up a 94 motor for my 2000 xj with a cracked head. I was told by some places it will not work and I spoke with others who said it would. I spoke with another forum member extensively on the phone who is doing the same thing and he got it running this past weekend. I am moving forward and am confident it will work just fine. Feel free to ask any questions. I will tell you what I know!

well for starters it depends on the tranny, and what is wrong with your current "engine" in the 2000.

you jeep doesn't have a motor silly, its not a blender.
