Missing 02 sensor harness

Missing 02 sensor harness
I removed the exhaust off of my 01 Cherokee sport, Colman edition and it didn’t have a downstream 02 sensor or wiring harness for it I’m at a loss on if I even need it I was going to have my exhaust put on and the technician asked about it and I told him it didn’t have one has anybody ever ran into this
