The only way to get to the connector for me is from up top.

 

00 cali and 01 cps are routed different. There is the TV cable bracket to take off and some extensions will get the job done easily.

 

Well that explains my confusion.
When I said that I thought TrailerTrash's illustration was for an older XJ I was thinking '96 and down.
Not '99 and down.
Shows what I know. LOL.

EDIT: I just read your post more closely. So a Federal Emissions '00 would be routed like a '99?

 

Pretty sure it I is. I've done a bit of modifying Chrysler products and sometimes I just have to shrug and move on.

 

Thinking about it more I think it is.
Cause I was thinking back to the engine harness and computer I stole from a Federal Emissions '00 in the boneyard awhile back.
I took my time not wanting to damage the harness at all. But the thing I could not get disconnected was the CPS connector.
It was just giving me a hard time. So I cut the wire on the CPS but it was from up top.
Thinking forum rules prohibit me from telling you why I stole that set up.
