Default Manual trans swap

Hello Forum go-getters, I have another one for you...

I have a 1994 Jeep cherokee sport frankenstein such as my other '85 cherokee. 1994 4.0L auto trans to manual swap (from an 88 commanche) I used the pin 30 jumper for the neutral safety switch, and these are the mods I have done.

6 in lift
CPS sensor from 94 manual
flywheel for 94 manual
TCM removal

Everything is working beautifully except for the fact that VERY scarcely the engine stalls in the process of slowing down to stop or shifting gears. This only occurs after the trans swap. Please help, it's racking my brain.

Which ECU/PCM do you have hooked up? If I understand you correctly, once you let off the clutch the engine will just die out, maybe like it's not getting any fuel or air? On Renix there was a difference between auto and manual TPS but not sure if this has any implications really. You sure the CPS is good?

I did an auto to manual swap in my 2000 XJ (went from stock auto to NV4500 manual). I had exactly the same issue and it was ECU/PCM. I went to the wrecker and found the same year/model ECU/PCM but for a manual trans and everything is gold now...

Just gota figure out how to disable the silly Jeep "shift indicator" now..

4500 in an XJ? Nice!

You gonna drop a Cummins in there too?

Ha! Yeah its fun,.. first gear not so practical in daily driving. I think I'll stick with my 4.7L stroker. Read an article on putting in a cummins in.. way too complicated. I got this big shifter for the NV4500 its like I'm driving a rig..

I had to reset my computer and let it relearn but every once In a while I see the Rpms drop significantly in I'm the process of installing a computer from a 5 speed. My guess is that the fact that the engine has no load it doesn't know what to do and the manual one does

Thats really odd; just finished my '96 aw4 to ax-15 swap and I have had zero problems...no stalls or anything (except the OBD2 computer is throwing a check engine light because it thinks the NSS is stuck in park haha). Flywheel/cps/clutch all for a '94 xj...but this is only day 3 driving it but even then I've put almost 200 miles on since the swap so I think if Id experience issues I would have by now
Oh ya, original pcm too from my auto '96

You don't notice it right of the bat and mine almost never stalls I just see the rpms drop something the computer normally counteracts
