I have 2000 XJ with a JCR Steering Box Plate, and a Durango Box Swap. I was just wondering if anybody has tried using M.O.R.E's steering box brace with a similar setup?

I know that a Rusty's brace wont work with a Durango box, but has anybody tried that latter?

The Rusty's is the only one I've heard about.

I am not actually changing brands. The JCR is a steering box plate between the box and uni-body rail (keeping that). I am talking about the cross brace from the box to the opposite frame rail. Its confusing because they can be called the same thing

Custom ones are super easy to build with a few pcs. Of steel and will probably be better than any off the shelf one. All you need is a cross bar and a collar to go around the lower nose of ths steering box. Thats how I made mine if it helps.

I have been in off camber situations where you use the steering box to lift the entire weight of The jeep. Like when your tire is trying to go one way and its not the way you want to go. If your going to wheel it you cant over brace anything.

I am a fan of overkill. Its a pretty cheap upgrade that I can do to reinforce my XJ. I changed the box out b/c my old one was shot, but I can turn 33's with one finger on street and with ease on the trails. No severe off camber yet to really test the Durango box.

Might just go the custom route. I do like the reinforcement sleeve that the M.O.R.E brace has. I would probably need a lathe to make that
