Default LOWER Controle Arm BOLTS, HELP?

Hey guys

Started in on my Rough county 4.5 inch lift kit yesterday, But hitting a few bumps along the way.

I started with the front first, Removed the sway bar links, Shocks, coil spring clamp, coil springs, front steering stabizierer( WTF this sucked rotted away) and Working on Lower controle arms I was able to get the lower bolts out ( the ones close to axel) but am having a HELL of a time with the upper bolts. I was able to get the nuts of on both sides but i cant get the bolt out, I think the bushing sleeve is rotted to the bolt.

Whats the best way to get these OUT!

I was considering cutting the bolt on the inside of the brackt on both sides butdont know if i have enough room.

Thanks Guys
im sure someboady has had this problem

Same here. I had to cut mine off. I managed to get a sawzall in there and get it that way. But I broke about 4 blades in the process.

I snagged like a 4.5" SAE grade 8 bolt for mine with a lock nut. Seems to work just fine. Its a little shorter than OEM, but works.

My trac bar was a ***** to get out. Get a sawzall blade for cast-iron tubs and things like that (its black and the bottom of the blade a coating on it) Cut the inside bolt. Cut the outside of it with a grinder or whatever (the bolt head). once its out, use a torch heat the bushing up and melt it out. I spent HOURS trying to save the bolt and bushing. and in the end it cost me 13 dollars to replace both. totally worth it not to save them. Oh and get the two part trac bush from autozone, trust me, so much easier to get in and out than the pressed one.

All thats going to do is burn the bushing. The bolt is seized to the sleeve inside the bushing.

SWEET, got the front all set, ( other than aligning it up and drilling the track bar out to it new home. I have now moved to the rear, I got my swaybar off, My U bolts off and trying to get off the Leaf springs. WHAT THE HELL these bots are really tight and im afraid i may strip or breask the front bolt that goes into the uni body. Whats my best bet to get this off. I am affraid if i heat it to much that it will melt the rubber and i will never get it out.

( I used a 1/2 breaker bar and 3ft pipe- didnt budge the bolt not even a squeke. )

if you had that much trouble with the front the rears are gona be even worse. my front came apart no problem but the rear leaf spring bolts were the big problem i ended up cutting off the leaf springs the cutting out the bushing then wedging a screw driver in the slit of the metal sleeve finally it let go.
