are lower control arms needed with a 3" lift?

I am trying to decide which lift I am going to do, and was wondering how important are new control arms on a 3 inch lift? Thanks

Not needed, but thats right on the line. Adjustable mid length arms would be nice, but mostly only if you plan on going bigger eventually.
