Default Lower Control arm removal w/ springs in?

Hey guys I just got done with a waggy 44 front swap and realized I made the bolt holes on my lca mounts too big for the bolts. This seems like a dumb question after everything I've already accomplished but I don't have access to a lift anymore and was wondering if anyone has ever removed their lower control arms without removing the springs. I'm just trying to be as safe as possible and don't want anything shifting while I'm under it once I disconnect the lca so I can put some bolt hole reducers in the mounts. Any input at all would be greatly appreciated.

You can put a rachet strap around the axle tube up to the crossmember to hold it and then tighten or losen as needed to get things back together
