Yes that is correct and one does not affect the other.

You guys on the second page were so much help and thanks! But this guy I quoted answered my question! And it's a daily driver till april and then it will be trail only and I'm not putting anything new into it beside the coils maybe something's small but I'm all about getting stock parts from other vehicles to make my xj work

I've heard RUMOR that JK REAR UPPERS will work in place of XJ/ZJ lowers (front lowers for ZJ) for a 3.5-4.5" lift. I can't verify that though because I haven't see back any results from anyone who's tried it yet. Matt on BleepinJeep.com just did a YouTube video on it though. He may be able to shed some more light on the JK rear UCA topic.
