This would be the first time I've ever done anything with bumpstops so any advice would be appreciated!
As for length its trial and error. Put some in... roll it up on a ramp see if it rubs repeat

Bump stops depend solely on your tire to fender clearance, tire/size you're running, and wheel setup (backspace/width/tire size on it). Since everyone is running different tires and trimmed different; what worked for one wouldn't work for another.

In the rear I made a 1.25" bumps stop spacers (using this method), Crown 4.1" bump stops, and used creepyfab bumpstop leaf spring plates (ebay seller).

Up front I'm using hockey pucks and 3/8" bolts. I drilled and tapped into the coil buckets. Then I used a 1" spade bit to countersink the bolt head. Not pictured, but I put a 1" metal cap to cover everything.

Maybe not the original bubba, been called a lot of names through the years.
May not be LCOG, I'll check Wikipedia to get the specs on that.
Doesn't feel top heavy, except that one time it was on its side..
Not sure what direction going in the axles, looking into D60, or ? But money is usually tight so I put the chrome in these, of course I already busted those, which is why I'm putting another set in now., money tight so glad those axles carry a ten year warranty..

8.5" is not lcog unless your on 42s +
Most of us are 3.75" or lower and running 35's and bigger tires.
Kinda neat but your concept of lcog is wrong period take 5" out of the lift then come back.
