I'm about to redo my exhaust and I liked the prices of glasspacks but the sound of a flow master super 44. Which glasspack has the lowest and loudest tone in your opinion? Thanks

I'd recommend you look into a Thrush Welded muffler. They sound pretty good, are about $30, so you get the price of the glasspack with the sound relatively close to a Flowmaster 44

not even close. cutting off your muffler and putting a tip on your cat will sound better/ be louder than a thrush welded.
turbo tubes, preforated tube not glass packed, no burn out, just a low deep tone, I had twin 36" on a roided el camino, they were louder then my twin super 40 flowmasters. Pro Flo makes a nice one similar to the flowmaster, didnt take long for them to break in and sound like a 50 series

I think cutting you muffler off and putting a tip on the cat sounds about the same as using a glass pack.

technically removal of your muffler is illegal due to sound laws (I think). but I live in CA and know for a fact that no one around my area has failed inspection for removal of muffler. they just don't want you to modify the exhaust from the header to the cat. as long as that's all factory and the cat is good, they don't care

I'm pretty sure in VA as long as you have a cat your good. But I was talking about cutting your tail pipe after the cat, I think that would fail inspection cause the fumes are dumped under your jeep

Cherry Bomb or Thrush, I have a thrush and it sounds nice and deep. I get a lot of D-bags revving their engines at me and trying to race.
It's loud and definitely not fast!

Cat to tailpipe would sound good if youre into that. I tried both the thrush welded and a magnaflow glasspack and both were too much like a fart car for my taste. Ended with a walker quiet flow and couldnt be happier. Has a little rumble at idle and modest sound under throttle.
