Default Looking to install dynomax super turbo cat back kit on 89?

Has anyone herd anything about this exhaaust kit or tryed it. i was hoping to put it on to add alil more of a racing meaner sound then stock and maybe gain slight horse power. If i put this exhaust on will it idle obnoxiously loud?? i was hoping i could put something on that would only get mean when u put ur foot on it. Any ideas also with this kit i would need a tip i assume?

I'm not sure if the catback is different, but my brother has a '90 with the Dynomax muffler. To tell you the truth i don't like the way it sounds, it sounds kinda weird for a 4 litre. I had a custom catback done at one of the local muffler shops with a magnaflow muffler and stainless tip. I love the sound, it sounds about the same idling and low rpm as stock, but when i get up to about 2000 rpm and above it sounds "mean". I'm not the best at describing it but i think it sounds throaty and like well tuned. I get the feeling your looking at the dynomax because of price, but i got my exhaust done for about $200 and that included the stainless tip.

Also get stainless tubing if you can, the aluminized tends to rust, like mine.

I'm running dual Super Turbos on my 72 El Camino with a 350. They have a nice mellow tone at idle and reasonably quiet. Once you get into the pedal a bit it sounds really good. That's on duals on a V8 so it would probably sound great on an I6 with a single, smaller pipe.
