Alright so I am in the market for new coil springs because my front end is sagging a good inch or more and I am starting to get floating front tires on rough street roads which it didn't start doing until a month ago or so. I am also starting to hit my extended bump stops a lot more than before off road... Shocks look good, no leaks and feel nice and smooth. Pretty much it feels like the coils are so weak now they don't provide enough return force anymore.

Little bit about my jeep:
2001 XJ, Limited edition auto, daily driver
Rough country 4.5 inch X series lift (well, whats left and hasn't been replaced)
32x11.5x15 BF Goodridge all terrains
Rubicon Track bar, HD mount and cross brace
Rusty's trail cross-member, front skid, transfer case skid, front bumper
Brown dog motor mounts
Lower control arm skids
Front and rear lunch box lockers
Bunch of other stuff not relevant to this topic

Rough country doesn't seem to be selling them by themselves and I bought the jeep with the rough country parts already installed so I can't use their warranty... Not sure if i want rough country ones anyways because it took me all of 2 months to destroy their track bar when I first got the jeep... Hence the Rubicon upgrade

Looking for recommendations on what brand of coil springs to get.
Anyone here use Rusty's off road coils? Was sort of looking at those

 

RE...a tad more expensive than the Rusty's ones, but worth the extra money IMO...well proven product that's seen a lot of reviews off road, never heard anything bad.

 

I've had 3.5" RE coils for a few years now. Quality is definitely there but the spring rate on them is high. I think I read somewhere in the 250lbs range. Not bad if you have a heavy bumper, winch and other goodies but they're definitely pretty stiff.

 

They are top notch and made in NA not China like most. Mine have been now for going on 4 yrs and have the same ride height as when new, same for the leafs.

 

Another vote for RE, but dang, have they gotten expensive.

 

RE 4.5" are 164lb. Rustys, when I last checked came in 150 and 180lb on their 3". I am nut sure if they are different in the 4.5". Ive been running RE 4.5s for about a year and no complaints.

 

I vote for Metalcloak 3.5" Dual rate coils. I've had them for almost a year and no complaints. Very flexy off-road.

A coil spring is a coil spring. Some companies may sag out faster than others, but I would just pick the coils that fit your needs the closest. IRO, rusty, RE doesn't matter.
