Is anyone on here taking any 500 mile plus highway trips with their lifted xjs?

If so what tire size and gears are you running?

Im planning on going to 33s with 4.10s and am wondering what it will be like at
75mph+.

XJs aren't race cars. I would personally never take it above 75. That would be my absolute max. And I'm on 33s and 4.56s

 

i have before with 35s and 3.55 gears. no issues but i really dont take mine over 70.

 

I have to drive back and forth from colorado to missouri a few times a year and I70 going 65 mph is hell.

 

Dallas to Chicago area twice, Dallas to northern Missouri, and multiple trips from Dallas to Hot Springs. 35's and 4.88's, the gas mileage sucked but the ride at 75-80 was fine. Typically I don't do over 65 though in an effort to save on gas as much as possible.

 

once a week i bomb from Mid NY to Northern NY, sometimes highway some time back roads. Highway i run 31's on a 1.5"lift and cruise with no issues at 65 but she starts getting very thirsty after 65mph
