Looking to upgrade my short arms to long arms. Can’t decide which to get was looking at the iron rock Offroad set, but also saw the stinky fab kit. Which one do you think I should get?
if you don't need all the other parts that IRO offers in their kit, i would just go with stinky fab. but if you need to replace your leafs or shocks, or need extended brake lines, go with IRO.
I’ve got about 5.5 inches all around. Lift was installed maybe 6 months ago. So I hope my leafs springs and extended brake lines don’t need replaced lol.
the rear sits a little bit higher from shackle relocation. Do have my winch bumper and rear tire carrier bumper coming so I’m hoping it will level out the back some.
im just really torn between iro and stinkyfab moneys not so much an issue, and I’d be doing all the work myself. I just want to do it right the first time.
considering I didn’t do it right and get long arms like every said right off the bat. That’s on me.
With that much lift id shy away from anything that has a flat belly. Stf mounts lower arms below frame this goes along ways towards improving the rise.

could you elaborate on flat belly?
im assuming you’re suggesting the stf over iro?
Iron rock doesn't advertise a flat belly but they do have the lower link as high as possible looks like maybe a 1/2" clearance to the upper link. Mine lower links to center if bolt is 2.25" belowe frame Sfr looks very similar only difference is ive raised link brackets at the axle and have multiple mounting points on both lower and upper arm
Sfr upper link is roughly 70% the length of the lower link. This i think makes castor angle stay more consistent as suspension cycles but sacrifices pinion angle.
79arms tge same length will be easier in the pinion but castor will change more as suspension cycles.
My arms are both 32" long. I see no negative affects driving on the street or trail I realy dig this sff set up. Thats why i used it as how i uilt mine. They know tgeyre **** and were willing to give me pointers and ideas building mine. This is somewhere about 5" of link seperation at tge frame side. Thats a good thing. Iron rock has tgese links nearliving in tge same location. Though that might not be bad either just brings different characteristics.
Im not digging up any decent pictures of Iron rock frame side link lay out.
To me it looks like link bolt is just under frame. Wich isn't horrible. You can get just the arms bassicaly whats pictured here from iron rock. Iron rocks upper arm looks longer than sfr. Looks nearly the same length as lower. Would be better for a rig that sees lots of articulation Theyre just different but i do think the link lay out is better and more solid mounting that does require welding. I think this iron rock is more fir the bolt on and run it croud
I really appreciate the explanation! Looks like I’m going to go with stinky fab! I also appreciate your time with the pics and the details! I now feel more comfortable with my decision.
Keep in mind the stinky fab 3 link uses a weld on axle side bracket for the upper link.
If welding is an issue id order the 4link
iron rock uses the pumpkin side factory upper wich makes it a bolt on. I think cost is about the same as stinky fab.
all full long arm lift kit's come with cookie cutter one size fits all junk.
I do like the iron rock 3 link it does appear to be a good foundation build a jeep on. But 5" of lift is to much. To me that's almost negating the benefits of a long arm.
It appears I was wrong. It looks like sfr also uses factory upper axle side mount.
For me I found to much miss information on forumns to go along with the crowd I started making phone calls talking to stinky fab accutune filthy motor sports jensen Brothers, Barnes ruffstuffspecialties.com. its very much worth your time to call those that are actually building jeeps and making these products.
