This probably one of the most controversial questions regarding lockers. You'll get different answers from different people. I like to go with the rear first because I hate having my front end grab twice the traction then my rear when wheelin. It puts more stress on the front driveline, u-joints, ball joints and all your steering components. Whereas these problems arnt quit so pronounced when you also have added traction in the rear. There's a reason why XJs have D30s in the front and larger axles/drive lines etc. In the rear. Because the rear is designed to take most of the work load. Therefore, put the increased stress, caused by the locker, where your jeep can most take it, the rear end.

Thanks for all of the input! I'm trying to upload a video that was taken today and you will be able to see instances where a rear and a front would have paid off. Hopefully a video will follow

i drive with lunchbox locker daily but standard and it kinda sucks in parking lots actually really sucks but if i was to do it again i would just save for the selectable locker, ohh and in the snow it will allways grab with both tires and slide left and right when i let off the clutch

That's what scares me.... But I really can't afford the selectable lockers.

if you have lsd in the rear, then lock the front.
if not, then lock the rear.

less hassle and better if you're in snowy road driving conditions.

i vote lock-rite rear and if you're gonna go front, go with an ox.
