Full detroit and alloy shafts should hold 33's for awhile ,and a long time if carefull on the pedal ...if it's the super kit then the shafts should be 30 spline upgraded from the factory 27 ...any way the weak points that will probably give you problems are the pinion and weak housing , and trussing the 35 will make it live a whole lot longer ,and save parts from breaking due to deflection...bending...of the housing , but with 4.88's you got a very small pinion gear on a 35 , but i've seen 4.88's live ...you just need to be less aggressive on the pedal ...for what it's worth I ran 33 ssr's on a d35 for long time in my zj with a v8 locked and just upgraded shafts .
