Lock Right or Tru Trac?
I'm building an 8.8. C clip elem, chomo shafts, trussed, the whole 9. This is taking a chunk out of my wallet! My plan is to do selectable lockers next year. In the mean time I want somthing and I cant decide to go with the Lock Right locker or the Tru Trac LSD. Like I said this will only be in for about a year. Any input?

i say either a mini spool or weld... since you're going full case selectable next year...
but if it must be one of those choices, i'd go lock-rite.

a lockrite is gonna wear the same it will only be unlocked when you're taking turns without gas pedal which is about 8% of the time. and for the cost of a trutrac I'd rather get a yukon grizzly locker and just keep it. go for the cheapest option, or go straight to the selectable. dont pick an inbetween option

Yeah, the cost of a true trac isn't worth it in your case, I would opine. I've never personally ran a Yukon grizz but I'll bet you that's gonna be on my list for future builds.
BTW, just FYI, these photos are of my jeep with two Aussie lockers. The first photo is my jeep floating right over a drift of spring s**t snow and the second is me rippin around a turn. The reason I'm showing them is because the Aussies in my jeep do damn well for how cheap they are. So if you are dead set on getting a cheap locker for temporary purposes you might look at Aussie or Spartan lockers. I think they both are better then lock rights. But other then that, I agree with Atmos, it makes sense to just get something you want the first time and be done with it.
