So I got home from work last night and all my Cherokee's interior lights were on. Any ideas as to what can cause this or why it's happening? Right now I have the negative terminal disconnected.

Rotate the headlight switch. If it's rotated all the way it will cause the lights to stay on.

Tried rotating the switch but yes I am human (aka dumbass) and sometimes miss the obvious. Could the switch be bad?

You could take a 10mm deep well socket and remove the 4 door jamb switches. Do each one at a time until you've either found the culprit or move onto a defective headlight switch.

Don't forget to check the rear hatch switch it is inside with the latch . also does it have alarm , that could be the problem .
