Thumbs down Intermitant dash lights, parking lights, and tail lights. HELP!

i have a 2001 xj and was trying to remove my headlight puller and couldn't find the button so i pulled and twisted a little bit.

My headlights do work when the switch is pulled all the way out as it should but no dash or tails. BUT, the brain buster is that the lights do work... only when i gently pull out the switch right before the first click (marker lights and with healights setting). If i kinda wiggle it and keep it in the right spot they work. soooo kinda cancels out the fuse idea. Also went and bought a new switch thinking it was that and it gave me the same thing. so any ideas??? i'm stumped

my guess is maybe loose wires when you "pulled" it. or maybe a ground somewhere..

Im having the same exact problem. My dash lights dont work when i pull the switch. I also know that the tail lights dont turn on either. I press the brake and they turn on fine. Blinkers turn on but....when i press the brake they stay on and dont blink, when i let go they resume as normal. I checked the fuses and all seem to be good. I checked the fuses under the hood and found one to be bad. It was one of the mini fuses on the bottom row. A 20amp fuse. I put another one in and turned my lights on but no change. I checked the fuse and it was again blown. If you are looking at the power distribution center under the hood from the front of the jeep it would be number 19 fuse. I kinda put a lil diagram of the fuse numbers from what i found on the internet.

NA 24 21 18
26 23 20 17
25 22 19 16

Can anyone else turn me into a new direction on where to look?

Use the search function, lots of people have had this problem and theres a few threads on here that will help you. Mine ended up being a faulty license lightbulb. Search dashlights.

found it out, it was the huge cluster under the driver side dash, a huge block of wires that had a bad connection
