I'm using el cheapo halogens on my roof as a flood type application and 6" on my brush guard for distance. The roof lights do moke a little glare, but with them angled to the left and right they give a good flood pattern to the front and side. I'm planning on up grading to led soon to get better pure white light. I only have $30 and a 3/8" drive craftsman ratchet invested in my whole set up.
