Light bulbs
Looking to swap these H3 bulbs out of my new Hella 700s from 55w to 100w bulbs. Definitely planning to do a review on these when I decide what bulbs to upgrade to.
Anyone who upgraded their bulbs - what are the best bang for your buck out there?

I think H3s are pretty cheap. Go with a name brand like Hella or Phillips for quality.

That's what I figured but last year I read an interesting article on bulbs with tinted lenses. It said that in light there is a combination of all colors, some being more than others. When you tint the bulb's lens it will lessen or even block all of the the light from the other colors from getting through, therefore limiting the amount of light shining through.
So for example, they are saying that when you have a xenon wanna-be bulb that has a blue tinted bulb lens that only the blue light (and similar colors) will be able to shine through and the other colors will be limited.
What I am questioning though is why manufacturers would even make tinted lens bulbs. Is it all for marketing to get the ignorant people to buy an expensive problem because they want "colored" light coming from their car, or do the colored bulbs benefit their light - such as the blue lens bulb. Possibly their is more blue-like light being output and minimal contrast colors and somehow tinting their lenses to go with this benefit the output..?
Anyway, the article came to a conclusion that it is stupid to buy anything but a clear lens bulb because everything else has limited output due to the lens. Just figured I'd throw it out there and see what people are using!
