So I have my 96 xj lifted 4.5 inches with rough countries long arm kit
And I just got my 35s, now I'm slowly lifting it to tuck the tires better.

So I got some 1&3/4in spacers for up front and it sits nice with the 35s
But I still haven't aligned it since and I was curious if lifting the front would make my caster off?

And then also I want to swap out my 4.5 leafs for 5.5 leafs
And I'm curious if that's gonna require anything besides the leafs and new u-bolts?
Already have SYE and CV drive shaft.

Any help is appreciated

My opinion: Dont swap the leafs. Get shackle relocators and a bit of a longer shackle. They do wonders for ride quality and even more for flex. You dont want leafs that are arched so much. Relocator will get you about 3/4in when the shackle is set at 45 degree and you could get a 1in shackle. My .02

I've considered shackle relocators. But I currently have teraflex shackles.
And I like the added droop it provides. and it its supposed to add 1" lift

Does anyone have opinions of teraflex shackles vs normal shackles properly angled

They work with teraflex shackles. Unless you mean the Teraflex Revolvers then I dont know.

Oh ok. In that case I dont know if its a good idea to pair those up with relocators. Also that would be kind of pointless I guess. General opinion around here is that the revolvers are kind of sketchy and could unload while taking turns on the streets. But I cannot attest to that. Did that ever happen to you?

thats all bull****. imo
I drive my car pretty sketchy sometimes..
lets just say i dont drive like my grandma

and going around fairly sharp bends even at 25-30 you can feel some body roll.
but i dont feel them unloading.

they arent made to unload until the last inches of your downward travel.
so unless your leafs are toast then unloading on the road would be pretty hard imo??

and then some people say they unload while going down a steep hill?

idk if my bumper and tire carrier weigh it down?? but i dont have any such issues
