and max weight for a 33 inch tire is around the weight of a 1 ton truck.
for 33 inch tire, you want somewhere around 25psi. that's where the few different brands i run like to be at. but that's also on an 8 inch wide rim.

your stock ecco rim is only 7 inch wide with 5.5 inch backspacing. totally wrong wheel choice for a 33x12.5 inch tire.
this will push the centerline of the tire tread up therefore crowning the tire. add over inflation and that will just make it worse.

try another set of wheels, even if you can just borrow a proper setup from someone you know and take your jeep for a test drive.

Ok, I had some real bad steering issues with my rig. I found so many things that contributed to it. from bad control arm bushings to hollowed out track bar bolt. I completely over hauled almost everything, (including steering box and high performance pump) and now my steering is pretty solid. I am glad I stumbled across this thread, I have not really known how to get to the correct tire pressure for my rig. Never heard of the chalk test so I googled it and this is what I found. http://www.4wheelparts.com/tire-whee...e-checker.aspx I will be doing these tests to determine where my pressure should be. Will do the chalk test when it dries out. But I did check the pressures and in sitting at 28 all around, must have lowered it a while ago and didn't remember. I did just for sake of messing around shim the lower controls arms out and 1/8 inch on both sides and it did seem to help a little. I don't disagree with you at all about the wrong rims but you know with Santa on the way the jeep has to wait a little for some new parts.

 

Take note of pinion angle when adjusting caster. Adjusting caster also changes toe, too much toe-in will cause wandering and darting from side to side. Measure/adjust toe after adjusting caster.
I run 1/16" toe-in.
