Lifted Cherokee Vibration
Hello, I just bought a 2001 Cherokee with a 3.5 " lift and a 1" TC drop.
I am getting a lot of vibration/shaking in the steering wheel. Not loose steering the steering wheel seems to shake up and down during acceleration.
I replaced a broken Castor bracket on the lower control arm and that helped but it's still pretty bad. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Need more info, does it shake constantly? or just at a certain speed? does it start when you kit a bump/rut in the road? when was the last time you had an alignment done, and your tires/wheel balanced?? is there an adjustable track bar on your jeep? how are the bushings?

If you can put your transfer case in 4W part-time, full time, and 4LO, you have the NP242. If you only have 4 Hi and 4 LO, you have the NP231. For the rear axle, you either have the Dana 35 or Chrysler 8.25

an alignment is due but there is more to it than that.

I just finished my 3" lift 2 weeks ago. It vibrated violently after 30 mph. After the alignment, without a t-case drop, 90% of the vibes were gone.

I'm guessing alignment first,Some people lift and do a half way alignment in the driveway and live with it.Or if you hit something hard enough it can knock a alignment off too.
