Lift=steering
if you wheel or run a larger that stock tire its a safe idea to go with a stronger steering setup regardless of height. But generally people start having issues with stock steering around 4.5" or so. Some people run higher, and say its fine, I value my life more than that.

I'm running 6.5" of lift with a Ironman Adjustable Double Shear TracBar and a ZJ Tierod for an upgrade over stock. I run 33x12.50's and have never had a problem with steering, it's just as Tight and easy to steer as it was when it was stock height.

Thread is making my rethink putting off a beefy toe rod. Right now I'm at 3", 245/75/16 M/T's, IRO double shear track bar, M.O.R.E. steering box brace, but stock tie rod and drag link. I know having a beefy tie rod is better for the trail, but would it help my actual steering performance as well?

4.5in lift with 33s. With stock track bar the ride was terrible. Yeah I used to say it was decent but after installing an adjustable double shear trackbar I realized how crappy it was before. I have a larger tierod and all is good now. However I will be getting crossover steering at one point. Just a few things that need to come before that for me.

Would this leave me better off than a wheel to wheel tie rod setup like Serious' kit? I'm only at 3" and 31's, so I feel like I shouldn't need to spend $300 on steering.
