Default Lift kits?

I am working on a 99xj. I can't decide how big of a lift kit I want or need. I believe that I want to run 31 x 10.5. I really wouldn't be rock climbing mostly mudding and hill climbing. I know that I can get a 3.5" lift and have to do no cutting to get these tires to fit. But I don't know if I will be satisfied with this size or if i'll want to go bigger after I get finished. I know that I don't want to drop that kind of cash on something and not be satisfied with the results. Could a bigger lift still look as good with 31 x 10.5. Or would I have to get larger tire with the larger lift. Please help!!!!

You can clear 31's with a 3" lift but if u go with a 4.5" lift u can clear 31's and have great flex for offroading check out www.roughcountry.com for your lift they have great prices... heres 2 pic's of my jeep first one is a 3" with 31's and the second one is with a 4.5" lift on 31's

How much flex will the 4.5 give as to the 3.5. Is this the best option even though this will be a family outing vehicle my wive and son will be going with me. Does these lifts help reduce the chances for a death wobble. Also I will be using this jeep to work and tow with.

You di have nice jeeps and I do Like the 31's on the 4.5 is here s big difference in replacing the springs as to adding a leaf. Also do the shackles help alot on the rear axle

3.5" BDS Kit on 31x10.50's
I have quite a bit of trimming with the fenders too though...
Really glad I'm not much higher up for a DD, I like to drive kinda aggressive so too much body roll and I'd be in trouble on the road.... + I have plenty of clearance for my liking....

Yeah definitely on a budget. However, I would rather wait a lil longer and do it right that is why I was removing asking about the add a leaf as to buying a new set of springs. The lift I can afford early next year after christmas. I am also working on switching motors between a 99&00 because the dd has a pecking in the motor maybe a rod or oil pump. Had to change the water pump in the other motor but runs great.

If you cut it cleanly and with the right tools, you can hardly notice you've even touched the bumper.

Everyone in this thread have some gorgeous jeeps!
